Dorothy Kilgallen to be Honored by New York City Council

Dorothy Kilgallen to be Honored by New York City Council
New York City councilman Robert Holden has announced that the City Council is co-naming a street in honor of celebrated journalist and media icon Dorothy Kilgallen at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 8th, the 60th anniversary of her death. Since Dorothy’s  town house was on E. 68th Street, they will dedicate the corner of E. 68th Street and Park Avenue as “Dorothy Kilgallen Way.” A ceremony will take place and the public is invited, so please attend if at all possible. Mr. Holden, this author and Gianni Russo, who knew Kilgallen, among others, will speak about Kilgallen’s remarkable career.

On December 2, 2025, Mark Shaw’s latest book:

Abuse of Power: Connecting Robert Kennedy’s Assassination with the Murders of JFK and Dorothy Kilgallen Exposes Who Was Responsible and Why Sirhan Sirhan Deserves a New Trial, will be released.

“True crime murder mystery at its best. Abuse of Power must be read.” –Nick Pileggi, acclaimed author of Wise Guy (movie Good fellas) and Casino

What’s New in the Book?

On December 15, 1985, powerful mafia don Carlos Marcello, referring to JFK’s death, told a fellow Texas prison inmate that, “Yeah, I had the son of a bitch killed. I’m glad I did. I’m sorry I couldn’t have done it myself.” This shocking transcript of an audio-taped confession, based on the motive of revenge per FBI files discovered by this author in the 2025 JFK Assassination Records Release, changes everything about not only the president’s assassination but also reveals for the first time Marcello’s complicity in the deaths of journalist Dorothy Kilgallen in 1965 and the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy three years later.

The credible admission by Marcello validates fifteen years of research by this author in his last four books and, in the new book, true crime meets murder mystery in this groundbreaking historical exposé. Regarding Sirhan Sirhan, a never-before-published-first-hand account connecting Sirhan to the mafia don proves he was not accountable for RFK’s death and thus deserves a retrial, one that could rock the nation’s perception of historical truth.

Unfortunately, it appears likely that Marcello’s confession and the shocking RFK assassination evidence including the Sirhan revelations are being hidden from the public by the government. More about this disturbing state of affairs is included in Abuse of Power.

Without question, Abuse of Power, this author’s latest contribution to history, will stand the test of time as the definitive source for those seeking logical, primary source accounts of the life and times, and the deaths of three prominent
American icons.

  1. Can’t wait to read this one. I’ve always felt the assignation of RFK was also intertwined with JFK, Marilyn Monroe, Dorothy Kilgallen and J. Edgar Hoover. Keep up the great work and writing. We need more authors like you.
